KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) on Thursday said 36 more undocumented Afghan nationals have been released from Pakistani prisons and have returned to the country.
The MoRR wrote on its X handle these people spent 15 days to one month in Pakistani jails and returned to the country on Wednesday.
It said the returnees were introduced to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for assistance after their registration with the Refugee Department of Nangarhar province.
The ministry said returnees under 18 years of age were introduced to "Bland Afghanistan Reconstruction Institute" in order to identify their families.
On August 29, the General Consulate of Afghanistan in Karachi announced the release of 75 Afghan nationals, including six children, from that country’s jails.
