Man gunned down in Baghlan

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Unknown gunmen killed a man in Baghlan-i-Markazi district of northern Baghlan province last night, police said on Thursday.

The police headquarters in a statement sent to Pajhwok Afghan News the murder took place in 11h road area of the district.

The source identified the slain person as Mohammad Amin, but provided no information about the motive behind the murder.

The police headquarters said efforts were underway to identify and arrest the killers.

A resident of the area, who declined to be named, told Pajhwok that the deceased was a native of Khost district.

He said personal enmity could be the reason behind Amin’s killing. Amin had left his village due to the enmity.
