Central bank chief Badri wounded in traffic accident

ATLANTA (Pajhwok): The acting head of Afghanistan’s central bank, Hidayatullah Badri, has been injured in a traffic accident on the Kandahar-Herat highway.

Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) wrote on its X handle that Badri was in stable condition following Friday’s incident.

The central bank chief, on an official visit to Herat province, was injured after his car flipped over on the highway. He is expected to return to work soon.

One of his guards was killed in the accident, the central bank wrote, without giving further details.
