PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Pakistani security forces have killed seven militants and critically injured six others in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The alleged terrorists were killed and wounded in Chitral district on Sunday, the military’s media wing said in a brief statement.
A fire exchange took place during an operation in the district’s general area of Ursoon, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
“Locals appreciated the operation by the security forces and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
Last Wednesday, terrorist attacked two military posts in Lower Chitral. At least four security men personnel and 16 fighters were killed.
