Russia dispatches wheat flour aid to Kabul

KABUL (Pajhwok): Russia has announced dispatching a fresh shipment of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.

The Foreign Ministry in Moscow said a special flight of the Russian Defense Ministry delivered to Kabul 38 tonnes of wheat flour.

In a statement reported by TASS news agency, the ministry said the assistance had been collected by the Afghan diaspora in Russia.

The statement added: “This humanitarian action demonstrates a special positive potential of interaction between states – through national diaspora supporting their homeland.”

Efforts to support the friendly population of Afghanistan would continue, the Foreign Ministry promised without eleborating.
