30 more children with heart defects referred to hospitals

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) has recommended 30 more children with congenital heart defects (CHDs) for treatment to two Kabul hospitals.

ARCS wrote on its X account 30 more children had been introduced for treatment to two Kabul hospitals.

It said over the past 14 months, about 1,801 children suffering from heart diseases had been referred to different hospitals for medical treatment.

Last week, ARCS had referred 48 children with CHDs to two Kabul hospitals. About 12,000 children with heart defects need treatment.
