LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): With effect from tomorrow (Saturday), a ban has been imposed on transactions in foreign currencies in southern Helmand province, an official said on Friday
Helmand Information and Culture Director Hafiz Abdul Bari Rashid told Pajhwok that the Lashkargah municipality was launching a campaign to prevent transactions in foreign currencies tomorrow.
He said shopkeepers, businessmen and common people of Lashkargah and districts would participate in the campaign.
All money changers, car dealers, jewelers, shopkeepers and common people were obliged to avoid using foreign currency in their transactions from tomorrow, he added.
Rashid said everyone should use afghanis in transactions and warned of legal action against those violating the ban.
