KABUL (Pajhwok): The acting minister of information and culture in says things that negatively affect Afghan-Pakistan ties should be avoided and all problems resolved through dialogue.
The Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC) wrote on its X handle Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa met Pakistan’s Special Representative Asif Durrani and the delegation accompanying him in Kabul on Sunday.
Khairkhwa said insecurity in one country could disturb situation in the other. He stressed an end to the ongoing crackdown in Afghan refugees, including women and children, in Pakistan.
While referring to the ongoing arrests of Afghans, the minister commented such things as had a negative impact on the relations between the two countries should be avoided.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s policy had been clear, he said, adding the interim government did not want to strain its relations with any country.
The acting information ministry also suggested all problems should be solved through negotiations and political issues should not hinder transit and travel in any way.
The head of the visiting delegation promised the recent skirmish at Torkham would be thoroughly investigated and such incidents prevented in the future.
The delegation added Pakistan was ready for all possible cooperation and wanted to resume scholarships for Afghan students.
