KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): About 295 out of 423 pharmacies are operating without license in the capital of northern Kunduz province, the Food and Drug Authority has found.
Juma Gul Shamsi, director of Food and Drug Authority in Kunduz, told Pajhwok Afghan News they had decided to seal pharmacies without legal permits.
“We conducted a complete investigation in Kunduz province and found that there are 423 pharmacies and of them 128 have license and the reaming 295 have not,” he added.
Meanwhile, residents of Kunduz city urged the caretaker government to stop the activities of pharmacies operating without license.
Baryalay, a resident, said pharmacies without license were dangerous and asked the government to prevent their activities.
