FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Twenty foreign tourists visited western Ghor province in the last two days, an official said Thursday.
Ghor Information and Culture director Mohammad Hamas told Pajhwok Afghan News the visitors were from America, Germany, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Africa and Italy. They with their interpreters explored the province.
He said: "During the past two days, several groups of foreign tourists from different countries came to this province to visit historical places. They also met us for information about historical places and visited them.”
He added Ghor has many historical and ancient monuments, attracting tourists. The foreigners visited Minaret of Jam and other monuments.
According to him, security throughout Afghanistan has encouraged foreign tourists to go to farthest parts of the country.
