KABUL (Pajhwok): UN World Food Program (WFP) executive director Cindy McCain says they have no intention to leave Afghanistan despite fund shortage.
McCain wrote on X: “In just 6 months, WFP has been forced to completely cut food for 10 million people in Afghanistan. This was their only lifeline; now it’s gone.”
She said WFP was committed to the Afghan people and has no intention to leave and was ready to scale up, but needed funds as soon as possible. “Lives are at risk.”
