Man trying to smuggle $20,000 arrested at Torkham: MoI

KABUL (Pajhwok): Security forces have arrest a man at Torkham crossing between Afghanistan and Pakistan in eastern Nangarhar province over the smuggling of $20,000, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Friday.

During search security forces recovered $20,000 from the individuals who hide the cash in his shoes, MoI wrote on its twitter handle.

The detainee wanted to transfer the amount illegally to Pakistan. It is pertinent to mention that in the past security forces also arrested people on the charges of cash smuggling.
