GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Using their own money, local residents have constructed a new building for a primary school in the Malistan district of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Thursday.
Murad Ali, a tribal elder from the district, told Pajhwok Afghan News local residents at personal expenses constructed the school building.
He said previously students would attend classes under the open sky or in tents.
According to him, the new school building consumed eight million afghanis and has the capacity for about 500 students.
Qari Sibghatullah Ahmadi, deputy director of education department, hailed the residents for constructing the school building.
