KABUL (Pajhwok): Japan’s outgoing ambassador Takashi Okada has held a farewell meeting with the acting foreign minister in the presence of his successor Takayoshi Kormaya.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi wrote on his X handle, Okada held the farewell meeting with Amir Khan Muttaqi.
As his mission came to an end, Okada was replaced by Kormaya will as Japan’s new ambassador in Kabul.
Speaking on the occasion, Muttaqi described the mission of the top Japanese diplomat as positive.
The minister hoped Japan’s new ambassador would play a constructive role in the development of both bilateral relations.
Kormaya promised efforts for further expanding cooperative relations and interaction between the two countries.
