KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan national football team defeated host Magnolia 1-0 in the first qualifying round for the World Cup 2026 and Asia Cup 2027.

The game started 11:30am local time and Farshad Noor scored a goal for the national squad in the 71st minutes of the game.

With this victory, Afghanistan found way to the group stage qualifier of World Cup 2026 and Asia Cup 2027.
