Badghis man guns down his two wives

QALA-I-NAW (Pajhwok): A man has gunned down his two wives in western Badghis province, police said on Thursday.

Police spokesman Sediqullah Sediqi told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place before noon in Qades district.

He identified the killer as Ismail, a resident of Haji Qurban village.

He said the motive behind the double murder was said to be family violence and the accused had fled.

Local residents said the man’s first wife was 35-year-old and second wife was 20-year-old and both left behind three children.
