GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Work on two renovation projects has been launched in Ghazni city, the capital of southern Ghazni province.
The projects will cost 15.5 million afghanis and take three months to complete, said Fazal Ahmad, engineering section head at Ghazni municipality.
He told reporters the projects included painting and constructing walls of flowerpots on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in interior city and construction and painting of the gates on the road.
He said: “The flowerpots are damaged from Roza area to Safandi area and their reconstruction and painting will add beauty to the city.”
He said three large gates in the city on the Kabul-Kandahar highway named Balkh, Transport and Ghazni were also being painted as their current condition presented an ugly look.
He said: “These projects will cost 15.5 million afghanis to be paid from the municipal budget. About 100 people will work on these projects for three months.
