KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan and Pakistan are set to square off for their 5th match in the ICC Cricket World Cup at MA Chidambaram Stadum in Chennai of India today (Monday).
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) wrote on its Facebook page the national squad is all set to play their fifth match against Pakistan in World Cup campaign today.
The match will start at 1:00pm.
Both the teams are heading into the game after facing a loss in their previous matches and will now look forward to redeeming themselves and grab those two crucial points.
Afghanistan pulled off a shock victory over defending champions England in the Cricket World Cup but have also slumped to three defeats.
Coach Jonathan Trott said on Sunday that the rivalry with Pakistan excites his Afghanistan team.
The neighbours have clashed seven times so far, with Pakistan emerging victorious on all seven occasions. The two teams have gone against each other only once in the ODI World Cup.
