FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Construction work of a new building for a district headquarters has been launched in northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said on Sunday.
Mohammad Khan, head of Badakhshan Monitoring and Inspection Board, told a ceremony in this regard that the three-storey building was being constructed in Yawan district on a standard manner and would have 30 administrative rooms.
He said the project would cost 23 million afghanis to be paid from the Ministry of Interior (MoI)’s development budget and would take one year to complete.
Criticizing the previous regime, he said despite the influx of huge aid, no infrastructure and development works had been done for the province and the Islamic Emirate was looking for development and infrastructure services for the deprived people.
