FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Over 150 foreign tourists have visited historic places in western Ghor province in the past seven months, an official said on Monday.
Information Department Director Mawlavi Mohammad Hammas, said nine foreign tourists from Italy and Japan, have visited the province yesterday and saw historic places in the province.
“Whatever we hear about Afghanistan in the media is totally different from what is on the ground, security situation had improved and so far no issue and problem had been faced by us,” Hamas said quoting the foreign tourists.
He said Ghor province has historic places, and tourists’ attraction points.
He said this year the number of tourists who visited Ghor was unprecedented which resulted in the generation of decent revenue as well.
He said 154 foreign and 328 local tourists have visited Ghor province this year so far.
