JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A powerful delegation headed by PM’s Admin and Finance Aide Mawlavi Abdul Salaam Hanafi has visited Torkham to observe the problems faced by deported Afghans, an official said on Tuesday.
Sediqullah Qureshi, deputy head of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department of Nangarhar province, told Pajhwok Afghan News Mawlavi Hanafi was accompanied by the Information Minister Mullah Khairullah Khirkhwa, Refugee Minister Khalil Rahman Haqqani, Deputy Finance Minister Mawlavi Abdul Kabir Ahmad, IEA Deputy Spokesperson Bilal Karimi, Nangarhar Governor Mullah Mohammad Naeem Akhund, Nangarhar GDI Mawlavi Edress Bara.
Qureshi said the delegation will take effective steps to address problems faced by the returnees and inspect the available facilities.
October 30 is the last date for undocumented Afghans living in Pakistan, according to Pakistani officials illegal migrants would be arrested and deported to their countries.
