KABUL (Pajhwok): The Turkish foreign minister says there should be no longer armed resistance in Afghanistan.
He issued the call at a meeting with his Afghan counterpart Amir Khan Muttaqi in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, on Tuesday.
Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) wrote on his X handle the two sides held exhaustive discussions on enhancing the level of bilateral and diplomatic relations.
They also conferred on opening new trade corridors and several other regional issues, according to Balkhi.
He added both sides stressed the need for the continuation of bilateral meetings and cooperation.
Turkey would continue its friendship with Afghanistan, he said, stressing there should not be armed resistance in the war-battered country.
