Clinic building completed, put into service in Logar

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Construction work of a building for a health center has been completed at a cost of 200,000 US dollars in Mohammad Agha district of central Logar province.

Syed Rahman Qadari, Logar public health director, told Pajhwok Afghan News the building funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) was constructed in one acre of land in Surkhab area in six months.

He said the building has 12 rooms, toilets, a car park, a drinking water system and boundary wall.

He added the health center had no building of its own in the past and had been operating in a rented house, but now this problem had been solved.

Haji Nawab, a tribal elder of the area, told Pajhwok  the building had been constructed in a standard manner.

He urged the Ministry of Public Health to increase the number of health centers and female health workers in the district.
