KABUL (Pajhwok): Drivers in capital Kabul have been asked to stop playing music in their vehicles and boarding unveiled women, according to a statement on Saturday.
Supervisors of the Ministry of Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (MPVPV) as part of their daily activities had created checkpoints in different areas of Kabul to implement the ‘Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’ (IEA) leadership’s orders, a statement from the ministry said.
It added: “At these checkpoints, the officials ask the motorists passing by to refrain from playing music and doing things that are in conflict with the policy of the Ministry MPVPV and not to transfer women without veil set in their vehicles and travel.”
They also asked security personnel patrolling in the city to make their physical stature according to the Islamic laws and refrain from activities that could hamper their status in the society.
