Spanish Coast Guard saves over 500 migrants

KABUL (Pajhwok): Spanish coast guard has save more than 500 migrants including women and children from drowning in Canary Islands of Atlantic Ocean.

VOA in a report said the Spanish Coast Guard saved about 500 refugees including women and children from drowning.

The report quoted the coast guard as saying four boats carried the migrants and the coast guard also found two bodies in one of the boats, but said nothing about their nationalities.

The Coast Guard officials told the media: “Two refugees died in hospital and the rescued people include women and children”.

The Spanish Ministry of Interior said on Thursday about 30,700 illegal immigrants landed in Canary Islands during the first 10 months of the current year.
