KABUL (Pajhwok): A leading Turkish company has evinced a keen interest in investment in the construction of a crude oil refinery in Afghanistan.
The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum in statement said acting minister Shahabuddin Delawar met a representative of the Turkish company.
The company representative expressed interest in building a crude oil refinery in Afghanistan and said: “We are ready to build a modern oil refinery here.”
Delawar promised necessary facilities would be provided to company seeking to establish the refinery, according to a statement from the ministry.
