KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has strongly condemned the deportation of Afghan refugees from Pakistan and termed this decision unjust, according to a statement on Wednesday.
Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, deputy spokesperson of the MoFA, in a video message said: “The MoFA always condemned Pakistan’s decision regarding the deportation of Afghans refugees and termed it unjust and unfair.”
During meetings with Pakistani officials, politicians and ulema it was stressed that Afghan refugees should be facilitated to return to their country and they should not be forced for repatriation.
Takal stressed Afghans assets in Pakistan should be brought back to Afghanistan in a secured manner.
The acting Afghan government asked Pakistan to show restraint and stop repatriation of Afghan refugees on the bases of Islamic brotherhood, humanitarian sympathy and good neighbourhood.
The government further said that Afghans living in other countries never created security and other issues for that country.
