KABUL (Pajhwok): Over 8,300 repatriates have been transferred from Torkham to their final destinations in the provinces, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said on Thursday.
MoD on its Twitter handle wrote that The Logistics Brigade of the 201st Khalid Bin Waleed Army Corps has so far transported 8,315 of migrants from the southeast zone to their respective provinces.
It added: “6,840 persons were transferred to their destinations in Nangarhar, 1,147 to Kunar province, 214 to Laghman province and 150 to Kabul province.”
Pakistan has deported thousands of Afghan refugees without legal documents. Islamabad set November 1 as the deadline for the refugees to leave Pakistan.
