Addicted Faryab man torches himself, family members

MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A 35-year-old addicted man in the Dawlatabad district of northwestern Faryab province has set himself and his seven family members on fire, an official said on Friday.

District Chief Damullah Saifullah told Pajhwok Afghan News the addicted person is named Nabi Jan and the incident happened on Thursday night in the Mahmoodkhel locality.

He said as a result of the fire incident a four months old baby boy killed and seven others, including Nabi Jan, injured.

The injured had been shifted to the hospital in Jawzjan province and the addicted man was being arrested.

He said the incident caused by the as a result of addiction and he was earlier also arrested in connection to the use of drugs.
