SAR-I-PUL CITY (Pajhwok): In order to prevent overloading of vehicles, a weighbridge has been activated on the northern Sar-i-Pul-Jawzjan highway, an official said on Thursday.
Sari Pul Public Works director Mawlavi Asadullah Masrour said the scale was built as per decision of the Ministry of Public Works in order to prevent overloaded vehicles that caused destruction to the highway.
He said MoPW spent four million afghanis on the construction of the scale, an administrative office and solar system.
He said the scale would prevent destruction of the road and each vehicle would be charged 100 . . .
