KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Food and Drug Authority (NFDA) has started digitalizing its affairs to ensure transparency and improve quality of services.
Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi, deputy prime minister for administrative affairs, said at the launch of the digitalization process, that the move was important to ensure convenience and transparency in NFDA affairs.
He said work was underway to digitalize the affairs of other departments. He said ensuring the quality of drugs and food was among the government’s priorities.
“My request to national and international businessmen is that they should not import something to Afghanistan that can harm the health of people. if someone does so, NFDA will take legal action.”
NFDA acting head Dr. Abdul Bari Omar said the digitalization of NFDA was a development on the national level.
He said the move was aimed at shortening lengthy processes, improving services and creating facilities.
