MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A 12-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man have committed suicides separately in Dawlatabad and Balcheragh districts of northern Faryab province, an official said on Thursday.
Crime branch deputy director Damla Maawez told Pajhwok Afghan News that the girl named Shaista hanged herself in Takhta Flordi area of Dawlatabad district on Thursday.
He said the girl took the extreme step due to domestic violence.
Separately, 25-year-old Din Muhammad hanged himself in a garden in Koliyan area in Balcheragh district at 10am Wednesday.
The incident was being investigated, Maawez said.
