Govt to pay teachers’ master’s, doctoral degree cost

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) will bear the cost of doing master’s and doctoral degrees by public sector universities’ teachers inside Afghanistan.

Hafiz Ziaullah Hashami, spokesperson for MoHE, wrote on his X handle: "The problem of fees for master's and doctorate degrees by teachers in Afghanistan has been resolved with the approval of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan."

He said even after this, entrance fees of university teachers would be paid from MoHE budget.

Earlier, university teachers were required to pay their own expenses for their master's and doctorate degrees inside Afghanistan.
