KABUL (Pajhwok): The Traffic Police Directorate has started repainting taxi vehicles against a sum of 9,110 afghanis.
Interior Ministry official Arkan Abdul Rahim Ahmad told a meeting in this regard in Kabul that changing the color of taxi cars was positive move and development.
He added the move would help maintain urban order and security.
He asked drivers to obtain documents of taxi cars and perform other official procedures on time to avoid being forced by traffic police to do so.
Traffic police chief Hasibullah Mukhtar said changing the color of taxis was aimed at preventing disorder.
