KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate has asked neighbours to stay neutral towards Afghanistan, reiterating Kabul’s policy of non-interference in affairs of other countries.

Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Abdul Salam Hanafi also renewed IEA’s desire for cordial and cooperative relations with all regional countries.

Addressing a seminar at the Afghanistan Academy of Sciences here on Wednesday, he insisted: “We don’t want to rebuild our country at the expense of our neighbours.”

All Afghans living abroad should return to their homeland, where they would have due respect and encounter no threat, the deputy premier said.

Other speakers alleged the 20-year presence of foreign forces had led to Afghanistan’s confrontation with some of its neighbours and regional nations.
