KABUL (Pajhwok): Kabul Municipality says that billboards and Mobile vendors in different areas of the city will be registered in an electronic system to ensure urban order and transparent revenue collection, according to a statement on Saturday.
The Kabul Mayor Mawlavi Abdul Rashid has approved the new strategy regarding billboards and mobile vendors during a meeting which was attended by the administrative board of the municipality, the statement said.
“In coordination with the Municipality Districts, the activity, location, type of activity and the size of the activity area, as well as the location and size of the advertising billboards will be determined by filling in special forms.
The exact number of vendors' activities and information are collected in an information bank and database and are recorded and registered in the Financial Management System (IFMS) of Kabul Municipality.”
The move will help established Urban order and the revenues of Kabul Municipality will be collected in a transparent manner and on the other hand, the activities of mobile sellers will also be secured and regulated.
The statement said that Kabul City Mayor termed the strategy positive and ordered the relevant officials to implement the strategy because the use of electronic system helped transparency and management in the administrative affairs.
