2 die, as many wounded in Bamyan traffic accidents

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Two persons died and as many were wounded in three separate traffic accidents in central Bamyan province, an official said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Mohammad Khawani Rasa told Pajhwok Afghan News a truck veered off the road and overturned in Qarghana Too area of Bamyan City, leaving two persons dead.

Separately, a boy was hit and injured by a car in Dihan Ahingaran area in the limits of Bamyan city.

Meanwhile, another child was injured after two cars collided head-on in Yaka Darakht area of the provincial capital.

One of the injured children was said to be in critical condition.

Rasa said the drivers were summoned to the police station over speedy and reckless driving.
