Heavy rainfall, snowfall predicted in 18 provinces

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) has predicted snowfall and severe rainfall accompanied by flash floods in 18 provinces of the country in a couple of days, according to a statement on Thursday.

In a statement published by the ministry said, there is the possibility of snowfall and severe rainfall with flash floods from December 13 to 15 in Herat, Farah, Nimroz, Badghis, Helmand, Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Ghor, Daikundi, Sar-i-Pul, Bamyan, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Samangan, Balkh and Jawzjan provinces.

The amount of rainfall in some parts of the country is predicted to be 10 up to 35 mil and snowfall from 15cm to 40cm.
