KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi and Iranian Ambassador Hassan Kazemi Qomi have discussed the problems of Afghan refugees in the neighbouring country, as well as bilateral economic and political cooperation.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said the two sides discussed the recent economic developments of Afghanistan and Iran, the problems of Afghan refugees and political and economic links.
While welcoming the delegation led by the ambassador, Muttaqi underlined the need to address legal problems of Afghan migrants in Iran and maintain effective bilateral political, economic, and cultural relations.
For his part, Qomi referred to the visit of a high-level Afghan delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar to Iran and the state of bilateral cooperation.
The two sides also emphasised on the strengthening and development of ties between Afghanistan and Iran.
