UN trying to find market for Bamyan women’s products

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Bamyan governor Mawlavi Abdullah Sarhadi has asked the United Nations to support Afghan craftswomen.

Yasmin Jaswal, United Nations representative for women’s affairs, called on Sarhadi and they talked about support for businesswomen in selling their handicrafts.

Sahardi talked about the importance of women-made products and asked the UN to support businesswomen.

Jaswal said UN has special plans for empowering professional businesswomen and female returnees.

She said UN will support dairy products processing, handicrafts making and local products marketing.
