ZARANJ (Pajhwok): At least three passengers have been killed and 43 more injured in a pile-up in the Dilaram district of Nimroz province, officials said on Wednesday.
The traffic department head, Sardar Mohammad Rahimi, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Five buses and cars collided around 11:00pm in Minar area on the Dilaram-Zaranj highway.”
At a result of thes collision involving two vehicles of the Khawar Organisation, three people were killed and 43 others injured, Rahimi said.
He added: “Before traffic police were informed about the collision, the wounded passengers were evacuated by local people to different hospitals for medical treatment. We do not have confirmed information about the condition of the wounded.”
According to Rahimi, the accident also caused financial losses as the vehicles were damaged due to severity of the accident.
