West, UNAMA official talk support for Afghan refugees

KABUL (Pajhwok): US Special Representative Thomas West has discussed the situation in Afghanistan with UNAMA’s Deputy Special Representative Indrika Ratwatte.

On his X handle, West wrote: “Connected today with Indrika Ratwatte, outgoing @UNAMAnewsDeputy Special Representative for Afghanistan and Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator. He brings abundant regional experience to a crucial job.”

The US diplomat said: “Discussed support for Afghan refugees and the humanitarian and economic situation in Afghanistan. Look forward to continuing our strong partnership with UNAMA on these challenges.”
