KABUL (Pajhwok): The prices of Kazakh flour, Russian gold and Indian sugar decreased during the outgoing week in Kabul, market sources said on Saturday.
Rates of food items
Zmarai Safi, head of the Food Traders Association, said the rate of a 24-kilogram bag of Pakistani rice 2,600afs and a 49-kilogram bag Indian sugar decreased from 3,250afs to 3,100afs.
Safi said 49-kilogarm bag of Kazakhstani flour price decreased from 1,650afs to 1,600afs, a 16-litre tin of Malaysian cooking oil sold for 1,350afs, a kilogram of African black tea accounted for 400afs and the same amount of Indonesian green tea 350afs.
Hamid Sufizada, a retailer on the Dahna-i-Bagh Market, said the retail price of a 49-kilogram bag of Kazakh flour worked out at 1,650afs.
A 24-kg bag of Pakistani rice accounted for 2,650afs and a 49-kg sack of Indian sugar at 3,150afs., he added.
A 16-litre bottle of cooking oil sold for 1,400afs, one kilogram of black tea for 450afs and the same quantity of green tea for 400afs.
Gold price
Mohammad Fawad, a jeweler in Timor Shahi area, said the price of one gram of Arabian gold remained unchanged at 3,800afs but the Russian variety fell from 2,950afs to 2,900afs.
Fuel prices
A worker at the Ahmadyar Group of Pump Stations put the price of one litre of petrol at 76afs and the same amount of diesel at 63afs.
Mohammad Sharif, a liquefied gas seller in Kalola Pushta locality, said the price of one kilogram of the commodity was 54afs.
Haji Hussain, owner of the Sadaqat Money Exchange Service, said one US dollar was traded at 70.10afs and 1,000 Pakistani rupees at 240afs against their last week’s rates of 70.30afs and 240afs respectively.
