KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) says pine nuts worth nearly $14 have been exported abroad in the past eight months.
Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, a spokesman for the ministry, told Pajhwok Afghan News that over 1.28 million kilograms of pine nuts were exported to foreign countries in the past eight months.
He said the dried fruit was exported to China, India, Pakistan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the US, England, Australia and the Netherlands.
He added MoCI was striving to provide more facilities to exporters of pine nuts via air corridors and land transportation.
