More than 400,000 e-ID cards distributed last month: NSIA

KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) says 407,262 electronic identity cards have been distributed in the past one month of the solar year 1402 across the country.

In a statement, NSIA said 53,376 cards were distributed to people in Kabul, more than 51,000 in Herat, more than 20,000 in Kandahar, and nearly 18,000 in Nangarhar.

According to the source, Balkh with the distribution of 14,500 cards, is one of the provinces that have distributed the most ID cards to applicants after Kabul, Herat, Kandahar and Nangarhar.

About 6.23 million ID cards have been distributed to applicants after the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
