2 people killed, 14 injured in Kabul blast

KABUL (Pajhwok): Two people were killed and 14 others injured in a bomb blast in capital Kabul on Saturday evening, an official said.

Police Spokesperson Khalid Zadran told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast happened at around 6:30 pm in the Dasht-i-Barchi locality of Kabul.

He added: “A blast ripped through a coaster in the Dasht-i-Barchi locality, as a result two people were killed and 14 others injured.”

Zadran said the injured had been shifted to the hospital and police lunched investigation into the blast.

Dawod, a local resident and eyewitness, said the blast happened on a passenger bus in the Qala-i-Nazari locality.

After the blast the vehicle engulfed in fire but fire brigade quickly arrived and controlled the fire.
