Ghazni municipality completes 11 half-finished projects

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): The municipality of southern Ghazni province has completed 11 half-finished uplift projects at the cost of 44 million Afs during this solar year, an official said on Tuesday.

Business markets, residential blocks, parks, pavements, a public sauna-bath construction, roads asphalting and traffic lights installations were the projects completed.

Ghazni City Mayor Maulvi Mohammad Nabi Hamza told Pajhwok Afghan News, the previous government initiated the work over 18 different projects which were left uncompleted after the political change in the country.

The Ghazni municipality spent 44 million afs on the completion of 11 projects, Hamza said.

The residents of Ghazni city are happy about the completion of these development projects, some of them said the projects created more facilities for Ghazni inhabitants.

A tribal elder Raz Mohammad said many laborers were provided with jobs opportunities in these projects and the projects will increase the revenues of the municipality as well.

Mohammad Sayeed, another resident of Ghazni province, urged the government to complete other projects that remained half-completed due to regime change in the county.

Sayeed told Pajhwok: “After the collapse of the previous regime in the country, many public welfare projects were left half-completed in Ghazni city and districts’ such as Haji Lala area residential blocks, halls and some other projects. All these projects need to be completed and set for use of people.”

The works over 19 other big and small projects have also started in Ghazni city this year, some of them have been completed and some others are in progress.
