MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): A man has been detained after allegedly killing his father with a hunting gun in central Kapisa province, an official said on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Abdul Fatah Fayez told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the Dara Afghani area of Nijrab district on Tuesday night.
He said: “Hamidullah, a 35-year-old man, shot injured his father, who later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.”
The suspected killer had been arrested, Fayez said, adding the motive behind the murder was yet to be ascertained.
The alleged killer was a member of security forces during the previous government, the police spokesman said.
