KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (MoMP) has signed contracts worth more than 10.15 million billion afghanis with four domestic companies to extract and process four large mines in three provinces.
The contracts were inked by Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Shahabuddin Delawar with officials of the four domestic companies.
Speaking on the occasion, Delawar said the contractors would develop a coalmine in Masjid Chobi area of Karakh district of Herat, a gold mine in Qarazghan area of Doshi district of Baghlan province, an iron mine in Pashtun Zarghon district of Herat, and a chromite mine . . .
