India clinches 1st T20 by six wickets

KABUL (Pajhwok): India has defeated Afghanistan by six wickets in the first T20 overs cricket match of the three match series.

The match was played on Thursday at Mohali, India.

India won the toss and invited Afghanistan to bat. The start was not impressive as Afghan batsmen could not utilize the first power play to put pressure on India.

Afghan batters managed to score 158 runs at the loss of five wickets in 20 overs.

Nabi’s 27 balls 49, Zadran’s 22 balls 25 and Najibullah’s 11 balls 19 were the score that helped Afghanistan challenge Indian batting line up.

In response, India despite the loss of regular wickets managed to chase the target at the loss of four wickets in 17.3 overs.
